Portable grill basics

A tabletop propane grill on a picnic table.

A grill at a campsite is a small fire you are responsible for. The park, the campground, or the city decides whether a flame is allowed that day. We sell the hardware. We do not grant permission to light it on the beach, under a pavilion, or under an awning.

The tabletop propane grill is the one that sits on a sturdy table. The two-burner stove is for a pot. Both use the hose and regulator we list separately, and both need a propane cylinder we do not sell and do not fill. Buy the cylinder from a licensed station. Make the connection outdoors. If you smell gas, close the valve and do not light anything.

The tailgate charcoal grill stands on its own legs. It does not include charcoal or lighter fluid, and we will not ship either. Put it on level ground, away from dry grass and away from the side of the RV. Coals stay a fire until they are cold. Packing a warm grill into a trunk is how a floor mat melts.

The 16-inch griddle is a flat plate, not a grill by itself. It needs the stove or a grate that actually supports it. Bare steel should be seasoned before the first meal. The medium grill cover is only for a small lid, about 22 inches across. It will not cover a motorhome.

Add the grill and the regulator as separate lines if you need both. Tell us in the notes if a campground has already told you propane is banned, and we will not talk you into a propane unit you cannot use. Pickup is at the South Daytona counter.
